Freelance Broadcast Facilities Supervisor, Milan Cortina Olympics – NBC Sports Freelance Broadcast Facilities Supervisor for the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics – NBC Sports is a temporary, limited‑term position lasting approximately 3 months, from December 2025 to February 2026, unless otherwise amended or terminated. The role will support the International Broadcast Center (IBC) Engineering department and provide engineering support in the NBC Sports facility in Milan, working closely with engineering partners, operational partners, and Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS).

Responsibilities

Provide on‑site support with varying general technical maintenance responsibilities during NBC space infrastructure build‑out prior to Games time, during and after for the decommissioning of the NBC space in the IBC

Involvement with drawing reviews during the Design Development Phases to understand gaps and omissions in the design

Assist with installations of NBC’s on‑site Security System in the IBC

Multitask and work in tandem with technical and construction engineering teams

Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports, ordering supplies and equipment

Flexible to assist other NBC trades/vendors (if requested), with Technical (Signal), or possibly power cable installations

Work shift “watch coverage” and liaise between NBC on‑shift management and Olympics/OBS Facilities Management, for NBC facilities related issues

Basic Requirements

Knowledge and experience of maintaining a facility

Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications

Ability to work shifts and flexible with performing construction related duties

Knowledge and experience with reading Architectural and Engineering construction drawings and specifications

Ability to stand for extended periods, maneuver in tight spaces, and perform fine motor tasks

Ability to work on elevated surfaces with certification to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, scissors, or boom lifts

Able to travel and work out-of-state/country for long durations around time NBC is building infrastructure of the IBC space prior to the Olympics, during the Games and for the decommissioning/Load‑out at the IBC

Experienced and able to utilize basic construction tools and equipment such as power construction equipment (drills), measuring devices and testing equipment

Desired Characteristics

Solid social and interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse groups, technical Engineers, construction teams and Olympics senior management levels

Business fluent (written and spoken) in English

Willingness to travel internationally

Must be able to work assigned hours, including evenings and weekends; work may extend to 12 hours x 7 days per week from time to time

Must be 18 years or older

Required On‑Site: This position is required to be performed from an NBCUniversal‑designated worksite.

Salary range: $550‑700/day USD
