We are looking for a Structural-Bridge Engineer seeking to grow their career as a Technical Manager. In this role, you will self‑perform and direct project teams in the planning and design of transportation structures projects, serving as a subject‑matter expert and providing technical advice to staff to ensure successful project execution and support the growth of the NC Structural group. Ideal candidates have a proven track record of successfully managing structural‑bridge projects, ensuring high‑quality engineering documents, and mentoring and directing staff in technical skills. Location

This position will have a hybrid work schedule. When in the office, you will work from our Cary office at least three times a week. The Impact You Will Have

Mentor and direct the advancement of staff technical skills while executing projects Manage technical elements of a project, assessing required analyses and determining the most practical approach for that analysis Perform, review, and manage technical analysis and design; take responsibility for the completeness of design details Communicate technical progress and issues to the Project Manager promptly and continuously Adhere to all internal procedures for quality control, documentation, and project tracking Contribute to other project work as a technical specialist or advisor Provide input into the growth of the practice Work toward being a leading subject‑matter expert on targeted elements within the discipline What We Are Looking For

B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) required PE License in NC required A minimum of 10 years’ experience in structural engineering with a transportation focus Advanced knowledge of software appropriate for this discipline, showing proficiency in most programs specific to this role Advanced knowledge of applicable codes and standards that govern this discipline Experience in MicroStation required; experience in 3D bridge modeling is highly desirable Experience with Construction Engineering services is highly desirable Professional Development
