Favor is seeking a passionate Senior User Experience (UX) Researcher to define and shape how on-demand food delivery works for customers, Runners (that’s what we call our delivery drivers), and restaurants. As a member of Favor’s Product team, you will craft positive experiences that help tens of thousands of Runners earn a living on their own terms and customers get their favorite foods in Texas on their porches. You will also empower thousands of businesses to reach consumers in their area. What you’ll do:
Plan and execute user research studies (including usability testing, user interviews, surveys, and other research methods) to gather insights into user behavior, needs, and preferences within the delivery services domain Learn from our users about their pain points and uncover areas of opportunity Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (including product managers, designers, engineers, marketers, and data analysts) to identify research objectives, design research plans, and develop user-centric solutions Analyze and synthesize research findings to identify patterns, generate insights, and produce actionable recommendations that drive product improvements and enhancements Create and maintain research artifacts such as research plans, discussion guides, usability test scripts, and research reports, ensuring findings are effectively communicated and documented Stay up to date with delivery industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, integrating relevant insights into research methodologies and design processes Advocate for the user by actively participating in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, design sprints, and other collaborative activities, championing user-centric design principles throughout the organization Mentor and guide junior researchers, providing guidance on research methodologies, data analysis techniques, and best practices in UX research Skills you have:
A bachelor's or master's degree in human-computer interaction (HCI), psychology, user experience, or a related field (a combination of relevant education and experience will also be considered) 5+ years of experience as a UX researcher, including conducting user research studies, usability testing, and other research methodologies in the context of digital products or services Expert knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including user interviews, surveys, card sorting, contextual inquiry, and usability testing (or similar methods) Strong understanding of user-centric design principles and methodologies with a demonstrated ability to translate research findings into actionable design recommendations Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and draw meaningful insights Proficiency in using UX research tools and software, such as usability testing platforms, survey tools, and data analysis tools Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey research findings and recommendations to diverse stakeholders Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and foster a user-centric design culture A deep understanding of the delivery services industry and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences Experience working in the delivery services industry or a related field is a plus Any prior experience being a part of a growing research team and defining and creating research processes is a plus Who you are:
