Title

HRIM Departmental Systems Analyst

Overview

The Human Resources Department seeks qualified candidates to serve as the Departmental Systems Analyst (DSA). The DSA will support the adaptation and enhancement of Workday, the County’s integrated human resources information system. The role is a key link between HR program areas, departmental users, and technical teams to ensure system functionality, data integrity, and alignment with business process needs.

Responsibilities

Configure, maintain, and process compensation and classification changes including cost‑of‑living adjustments, equity increases, and legislative updates in Workday. Administer job profiles, compensation plans, and related structures supporting the Classification and Compensation program. Provide HCM support during major workforce activities such as reorganizations, seasonal staffing, and fiscal year transitions. Coordinate regression testing and implement changes associated with bi‑annual Workday updates in assigned functional areas. Prepare and distribute procedures, communications, and reports to support HR programs, system enhancements, and compliance initiatives. Support and enhance Talent optimization within Workday, aligning performance and development processes and future modules such as Learning, Peakon, Journeys, and Help. Maintain Help Text, Quicktips, videos, pictures, and announcements within HCM.

Qualifications

Strong analytical and technical skills with experience researching, testing, and configuring changes in Workday HCM, Compensation, and Talent. Experience supporting or administering complex HRIS systems, with a focus on improving functionality and process efficiency. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and data accuracy in a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into system improvements. Enthusiasm for continuous learning opportunities to cross‑train in other modules including Learning, Journey, Peakon, and Help in the next year.
