The salary range for new hires is $25,480 - $26,416 per hour. The salary range for internal candidates is $25,480 - $30,628 per hour.

What You'll Do

Perform daily and repetitive data entry into a computer system along with data verification of coded or un-coded data from documents or other sources.

Collect designated forms, data, and documents, and enters data from these forms into a designated desktop, mid-range or main frame computer system.

Perform editing and maintenance of databases (Destiny/ILS), including the maintenance of accurate and current data records.

Read and review user manuals and receive training, technical direction, and guidance on data processing operations.

Initiate or respond to inquiries from staff, schools, and management.

Collect and compile information and data for reports.

Compose, type, edit and appropriately distribute correspondence, memos, notices, agendas, reports and other materials; checks for accuracy and completeness of materials.

File relevant paperwork and search files for various data.

Download and manipulate MARC records for cataloging library books.

Perform cataloging that includes the creation and editing of records.

Coordinate the classification, indexing, shelving and circulation of books, and assessment materials.

Research and investigate special projects and prepare reports and analysis.

Coordinate and collaborate team to determine technical solutions for cataloging issues and performing retrospective conversion projects.

Provide information and training to less-experienced staff.

Respond to and resolve inquiries from District staff.

Check and verify invoices, order and item records.

Perform other duties as requested.

What You’ll Need

BS/BA degree - Required.

Minimum of one (1) year of library experience. - Required

Three (3) or more years of related experience in administrative/data entry. - Required

Two (2) years’ of coursework in education or library media preferred.

Type 30-40 wpm and demonstrate proficiency in computer software applications. Must be proficient in PC and/or Mac platforms. - Required
