Position : Civil Designer I – Civil Site Land Development Team Location: Franklin or Nashville office (reports to either office)

As a Civil Designer I, you will work on land development projects by creating engineering models, analysis, designs, and supporting calculations/documents. You will coordinate drafting of project elements for various clients. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Collect and assimilate data; perform modeling, analysis, and/or design calculations of project elements.

Draw design details under the direction of others.

Compute quantities and demonstrate awareness of relationships to pay items.

Organize calculations for inclusion in design files, following project standards.

Coordinate drafting of an element.

Perform field or site visits as needed.

Develop cursory knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and use of CADD and Microsoft software.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.

Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) or desire to obtain Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the future preferred.

Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office products.

Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects.

Willingness to be adaptable to office and field inspection tasks; travel to project sites may be required.

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Detail oriented and organized; thrives in deadline‑driven environments.
