Employment Full‑Time; Salaried
Location Remote with a strong preference for candidates in and around the Austin, TX area
Experience 3‑5 years
About The Role We’re seeking a designer who thrives at the crossroads of complex business workflows and elegant user experiences. You’ll craft interfaces that power AI‑driven automation, workflow orchestration, and data‑rich analytical tools for everyday business users.
This role blends client solution enablement (≈70%) and platform design (≈30%): you’ll create foundational UI patterns and design systems, then adapt them to specific client implementations—balancing reusability with flexibility.
What You’ll Design
Document‑processing dashboards across finance, logistics, field service, and other domains
Human‑in‑the‑loop AI interfaces for reviewing, correcting, and validating AI outputs (including conversational and hybrid conversational/form‑based UX)
Data‑intensive UIs—grids, modals, multi‑step workflows, filters, and query interfaces
Domain‑specific analytical and geo‑visualization tools
Role‑aware experiences that adapt intelligently to user permissions
Responsive designs that bring consumer‑grade simplicity to web‑based business apps
What You’ll Do
Create scalable UI patterns and templates reusable across clients
Translate complex processes into intuitive, step‑by‑step journeys
Collaborate with Product and Platform teams to evolve a shared design system
Partner with Delivery Leads and Engineers to customize and implement designs
Balance information density with usability through thoughtful hierarchy and progressive disclosure
Design with implementation in mind, creating UX specs and UI handoffs based on modern frontend development techniques that are cost‑effective to build and maintain
What You Bring
Experience designing business‑facing, authenticated Web products (not marketing sites)
Expertise with data grids, tables, sorting/filtering, bulk actions, and visualization
Workflow and multi‑step process design (steppers, review queues, status‑driven UIs)
Strong Figma experience with components, variants, and structured handoffs
Proficiency in responsive, data‑heavy interfaces and reusable component systems
Understanding of human‑in‑the‑loop and AI‑assisted workflows
What Sets You Apart
You understand that not everything should be custom—you design systems for implementation consistency, efficiency, and developer feasibility
You can prototype or vibe‑code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
You know when conversational UI helps—and when a structured form just works better
You sweat UI details without losing sight of the full UX journey
You bring product thinking—understanding the why behind workflows and user needs
The Pay Range For This Role Is 85,000 – 110,000 USD per year (Austin, TX, USA)
Seniority level Mid‑Senior level
Employment type Full‑time
Job function Engineering and Information Technology
Industries Technology, Information and Internet
