- Conduct thorough evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and careful observation.
- Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions addressing a variety of needs, including communication, language development, fluency, vocal health, and swallowing techniques.
- Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to design integrated care plans.
- Empower patients and their families with knowledge to ensure progress extends beyond therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments, ensuring patients receive continuous support throughout their recovery journey.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
- Engage in professional advancement through continued education opportunities and collaborative efforts with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if awaiting ASHA certification.
- State license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based methodologies for various age groups, equipped with a robust understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
