Description
  • Conduct thorough evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and careful observation.
  • Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions addressing a variety of needs, including communication, language development, fluency, vocal health, and swallowing techniques.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to design integrated care plans.
  • Empower patients and their families with knowledge to ensure progress extends beyond therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments, ensuring patients receive continuous support throughout their recovery journey.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
  • Engage in professional advancement through continued education opportunities and collaborative efforts with peers.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if awaiting ASHA certification.
Certifications
  • State license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
