Job Title: Mechanical DesignerJob Description
This position involves completing project designs and detailed drawings, as well as Bill of Materials (BOMs), in accordance with customer guidelines. The Mechanical Designer must interpret complex engineering specifications and apply them to the design of components and sub-assemblies using sound design principles and creative, independent judgment. The role requires working in a team environment under the guidance of the Design Manager and Lead Designer.
Responsibilities

Generate detailed drawings as directed by the Design Manager and/or Lead Designers using Solidworks.

Accurately and efficiently produce shop drawings.

Participate in job status meetings.

Communicate professionally with team members and managers to gather necessary information for accurate drawings.

Manage time effectively and report progress to the Design Manager and Lead Designer.
Essential Skills
-
Proficiency in Solidworks.

Familiarity with AutoCAD, other Autodesk products, and PDM Software.

Ability to interpret complex engineering specifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
-
Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent.

Experience working on sheet metal projects.

Experience in a manufacturing setting and mechanical inclination.

Experience with CAMduct, CAMmep, and/or Navisworks.

Willingness to travel once per quarter to project sites.
Work Environment
The work is performed on-site in Greenville with working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The company is unique in the US for handling the design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, and service of industrial ventilation systems entirely in-house. The owners and management maintain an open-door policy and are present on-site every day, fostering a culture that prioritizes people first.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenville, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
