indiGO Technologies is looking for a talented Communications professional to write and manage content in a matrixed team environment. The candidate will work with leadership to scope, write, and then publish content to outside stakeholders in collaboration with Marketing, Branding, Social Media, Grants and other teammates.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience with a strong practical understanding of communications and public relations. This is an ideal role for a talented communicator who has broad interests and can apply their talent across many communications types.
Responsibilities
Content Development & Management
Write and manage the creation of white papers, investor narratives, and strategic corporate communications.
Assist Leadership in the development of compelling presentations.
Develop compelling outbound content including executive thought leadership content, articles for placement, shareholder updates, and more.
Create impactful press releases designed to drive media attention and elevate indiGO’s profile and funding opportunities.
Develop and keep current all web and social narrative content, including all positioning, descriptions, specifications etc., ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and product roadmaps.
Collaborate with Marketing on comprehensive content marketing strategies to drive lead generation, brand awareness and sales engagement.
Craft clear, engaging internal communications to effectively inform and inspire employees.
Public Relations & Media Engagement
Develop and manage strategic PR initiatives to strengthen indiGO’s presence in capital investment communities, fleet, electric vehicle (EV), and clean technology sectors.
Draft press releases in collaboration with management and external partners to achieve targeted media placement. Submit the press releases to the wire service(s). Report on results.
Act as the primary media liaison, promptly responding to press inquiries and coordinating interviews and media engagements.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media representatives, and key influencers to support indiGO’s public relations objectives.
Author insightful bylined articles and coordinate their publication in relevant industry media outlets.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Leadership, Sales, and Marketing teams to strategically scope and execute external‑facing content.
Tailor communications specifically for external stakeholders, including prospective clients, industry partners, funding agencies, and influential community leaders.
Facilitate seamless communication and alignment among internal stakeholders, ensuring unified and consistent messaging across all external interactions.
Participate proactively in strategic planning discussions to refine and enhance indiGO’s messaging, narratives, and overall market positioning.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
5+ years of combined practical experience creating communications work‑products across content marketing, communications, proposals, and public relations.
Superb writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Working knowledge of marketing platforms required for collaboration with marketing/social media team.
Experience in using CRM system(s) for contact management and managing media and government relationships.
Expert level skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Canva, and SharePoint.
Preferred
Highly skilled at building and maintaining relationships with media representatives and government stakeholders.
Working knowledge of automotive, clean energy, manufacturing, or complex B2B and B2G market segments.
Proficiency in the use of CRM systems for government and media outbound communications management.
Proficiency in the use of generative AI for written work‑products.
