Microservice Solutions GmbH seeks a Senior UI/UX Designer to create exceptional user experiences for custom web and mobile applications. This fully remote position requires a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design, visual design excellence, and the ability to translate business requirements into intuitive interfaces.
Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end design process from research and ideation to high-fidelity mockups and prototypes
Conduct user research, create user personas, and develop user journey maps
Design wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI mockups using Figma
Create and maintain design systems including component libraries, style guides, and design tokens
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand business objectives and user needs
Work closely with frontend developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs
Conduct usability testing and incorporate feedback into design iterations
Ensure designs meet accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and responsive design principles
Present design concepts and rationale to clients and internal stakeholders
Establish and maintain visual design standards across multiple projects
Create design documentation including specifications, annotations, and interaction guidelines
Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices
Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of professional UI/UX design experience for web and mobile applications
Expert-level proficiency in Figma; experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design process and visual design excellence
Deep understanding of user research methodologies and usability testing
Proficiency in creating wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes
Experience designing and maintaining design systems and component libraries
Knowledge of responsive design principles and mobile-first design approach
Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and frontend development constraints
Excellent visual design skills with strong typography, color theory, and layout abilities
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Ability to receive and incorporate feedback constructively
Fluent in English (written and verbal); German proficiency is advantageous
Legal authorization to work in Switzerland or EU
Preferred Qualifications Experience designing for B2B SaaS applications or enterprise software
Knowledge of design tokens and integration with development workflows
Familiarity with design handoff tools and developer collaboration (Zeplin, Figma Dev Mode)
Experience with motion design and micro-interactions
Understanding of design thinking methodologies and workshop facilitation
Background in branding and visual identity design
Experience conducting remote user research and usability testing
Knowledge of Swiss design principles and European design sensibilities
