We are looking for a Lead UX Designer who is passionate about crafting exceptional experiences for a diverse range of creatives. In this role, you will actively engage in designing, prototyping, and delivering user experiences that revolutionize advertising.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Defining and owning the design vision and strategy for Creative Studio, enhancing customer experiences through generative AI and intelligent agents.
- Leading hands-on design execution from wireframes to polished prototypes and production-ready assets.
- Rapidly exploring, building, and validating ideas to find the best interaction models for AI-driven creativity.
- Designing elegant, intuitive, and reliable user experiences seamlessly integrated into creative and advertising workflows.
- Collaborating closely with engineering, research, and product teams to align on goals and drive execution.
- Independently navigating challenges, proactively unblocking yourself, and delivering high-quality solutions.
- Championing inclusive, responsible design practices driven by AI.
- Mentoring fellow designers while exemplifying a builder mindset focused on speed, creativity, and action.
- Advocating for the unique needs of advertising asset creators and creative professionals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Over 10 years of UX/product design experience with leadership in complex or technical domains.
- A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design thinking, polished interfaces, and effective prototypes.
- Proven ability to deliver complete designs for successfully launched products.
- Familiarity with creative production tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and motion or 3D tools.
- Understanding of the workflows and challenges involved in creating advertising assets.
- Experience in designing tools or systems incorporating AI/ML technologies.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent collaboration, storytelling, and communication skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
- Experience applying user research to inform iterative design processes.
- A deep curiosity for and familiarity with generative AI.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prototyping experience with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript or similar).
- Exposure to intelligent systems, conversational interfaces, or LLM-powered workflows.
- Familiarity with responsible AI principles, such as safety, fairness, and transparency.
- Demonstrated mentorship and leadership skills while remaining hands-on.
- A passion for empowering creative professionals with beautifully designed, high-velocity tools.
This role can be based in New York, NY or Seattle, WA. Our compensation structure reflects the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets, with a base pay range from $147,600/year to $244,000/year, depending on experience and knowledge. Along with a full range of benefits, Amazon offers equity and sign-on payments as part of its total compensation package.
