  • Perform load estimation and energy usage calculations (heating, cooling, ventilation)

  • Complete energy code compliance, modeling, and documentation

  • Participate actively in coordination meetings with architects, structural, electrical, and client teams

  • Interface with vendors and contractors for equipment procurement, submittals, and clarifications

  • Conduct site surveys, observe construction progress, and document as-built conditions

  • Coordinate system clearances, space constraints, and interactions for all MEPT (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Thermal) elements

  • Calculate HVAC load estimates (sensible, latent, system diversity) for spaces, buildings, and industrial / process areas

  • Perform field site surveys, capturing existing conditions, measurements, and constraints

  • Prepare conceptual and construction cost estimates (material, labor, installation)

  • Under supervision (or independently, at higher levels), design:

    • Ductwork: layout, sizing, routing

    • Air distribution: grille/register/diffuser selection

    • Central and terminal HVAC units selection (AHUs, FCUs, VAV boxes, etc.)

    • Hydronic piping: sizing, routing, pump selection

    • Central plant equipment: boilers, chillers, pumps, heat exchangers

    • Control and automation systems: sequence of operations, control strategies, integration

  • Produce and maintain Revit (or equivalent BIM) models, detail views, annotations, and schedules

  • Collaborate with multi-discipline team to coordinate clashes, resolve interferences, and ensure integrative design
