Overview

We’re seeking a Public Relations Specialist to support global PR initiatives for Sunglass Hut. The position is a 1‑month contract with potential extension through 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Public Relations Manager in executing day‑to‑day PR activities and creative campaigns.
  • Liaise with external agencies to fulfill editorial requests and ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with PR asset development (talking points, media alerts, trend pitches, etc.).
  • Maintain media lists, prepare PR recaps, and conduct ongoing influencer research.
  • Coordinate event logistics such as media invites, product displays, and guest lists.
  • Manage product fulfillment for gifting and sample requests.
  • Handle operational communications with stores and vendors, including image and campaign asset distribution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, Advertising, or Journalism (preferred).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
  • Strong project management and follow‑up skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage time‑sensitive tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility for occasional travel based on brand events and needs.

  • Client: Luxottica
  • Location: New York, NY 10018
  • Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Hybrid, 2‑3x per week onsite)
  • Employment Type: 1‑month contract (potential to extend through 2026)
  • Pay Rate: $27/hour
