The ideal candidate combines user-centered design and human factors expertise with hands‑on experience producing, packaging, and deploying instructor‑led and digital training assets that meet regulatory, safety, and operational requirements.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end authoring and publishing of training materials for flight crews and maintenance crews: eLearning modules, interactive procedures, job aids, simulator scenario packages, and classroom materials
  • Translate operational procedures, technical manuals, and SME inputs into structured instructional content ready for LMS delivery and in‑simulator consumption
  • Perform functional analysis and task modeling to derive learning objectives, performance criteria, and traceability between operational tasks and training artifacts
  • Manage content pipelines: source control/versioning, content management systems, single‑source publishing, and multi‑format output (SCORM, xAPI, PDF, mobile‑friendly HTML5)
  • Develop and maintain reusable learning object libraries, templates, and style guides that ensure consistency, compliance, and rapid assembly of new training packages
  • Integrate training content with simulator systems and courseware scheduling; coordinate with simulation engineers to ensure scenario fidelity and interoperability
  • Lead quality assurance for published content: accessibility checks, compatibility testing across browsers/devices, LMS upload/manifest validation, and acceptance testing in training environments
  • Collaborate with instructional designers, SMEs, regulatory specialists, and operations to ensure that published training meets regulatory standards (FAA, EASA, ICAO where applicable) and operator policies
  • Define deployment and post‑deployment processes: release notes, version rollbacks, learner notification, and metrics collection for continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • 5+ years of experience with UX Design
  • 5+ years of experience with performing research and analysis on processes, applications, systems, and data to identify functional requirements for application or system design
  • 5+ years of experience in the fields of Aerospace, Human Factor, UxD, Computer Science, Business Psychology, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or Innovation Management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • Experience working with SaaS solutions, content authoring tools, learning experience platforms and learning management systems
  • Experience with UX tools (e.g. Figma, InVision, Sketch, etc.)
  • Experience with performing functional analysis on complex business processes to inform the design of training content authoring solutions
  • Experience with technical publications standards (S1000D, DITA, etc.) or structured authoring practices
  • Experience working within the aerospace industry, airline industry, or similar industry
