Responsibilities
- Install, test, and repair camera systems (Milestone, Safety Vision, Samsara, Smartdrive)
- Run network cable, install, and replace cameras and hardware, field terminate all devices
- Inspect, maintain, and test cameras, wiring, and adjust and repair as required
- Replace malfunctioning hardware when necessary
- Ensure all equipment complies with UTA’s standards
- Download and process video requests
- View cameras and assist with real‑time information when needed
- Manage video recordings with knowledge of DVR’s, NVR’s, NAS, and SAN storage systems
Minimum Qualifications
- One year installing, terminating, testing, and maintaining IP and analog camera systems and related equipment; pulling network cable and or fiber to support cameras
- Preferred experience working with IP camera systems and associated network infrastructure, video management software such as Milestone, Safety Vision, and/or Samsara
- High school diploma with technical degree in cameras and networking or equivalent certifications
- Valid Utah driver’s license with no more than four moving violations in the past three years
- CPR certification or first‑aid training preferred
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Legislative requirements regarding privacy and protection of security records
- Good interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and quality‑minded; ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic proficiency in MS Word and Excel preferred
- Responsive to requests with high levels of customer service
- Make quick, concise decisions frequently under stressful conditions; work unsupervised in isolated conditions
- Walk long distances; sit or stand for long periods; kneel and bend in tight spaces; climb stairs and ladders; lift 50+ lbs
- Work with diagnostic, hand, and power tools; work from heights using scissor lifts, man lifts, ladders, and bucket trucks with proper fall protection
- Maintain certifications for right of way, BCI access, and required equipment (e.g., forklift, man lift) as needed
- Flexibility to work other shifts and at other UTA locations as needed
- Regular and predictable attendance required

Pay Range
$25,144 or more, depending on experience
