Job Title: Technical Writer
We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer dedicated to delivering high‑quality documentation and in‑product text updates. The role involves generating protocols, technical reports, test methods, manufacturing instructions, project planning documents, and labeling documents. You will also be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining design history files, manufacturing bill of materials (BOM), routing procedures, travelers, and technical submission files. Additionally, you will revise instructions for use (IFUs), manuals, brochures, and other documentation to reflect updated or changed product information. Coordination with the regulatory team for technical file submissions and approval processes is also a key aspect of this role.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality documentation and in‑product text updates.
- Generate protocols, technical reports, test methods, and manufacturing instructions.
- Create, update, and maintain design history files and technical submission files.
- Revise and update instructions for use (IFUs), manuals, brochures, and other documentation.
- Coordinate with the regulatory team on technical file submissions and approval processes.
Essential Skills
- Technical writing
- Strong writing skills
- Experience with FDA regulations
- Experience in the medical device industry
- Knowledge of BOM and design history files
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of direct documentation experience in manufacturing or a related industry
- Familiarity with the dental industry is preferred
- Knowledge of ISO 9001
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Understanding of the 5 Y's methodology
Work Environment
The team operates much like a startup, where flexibility is key. Engineers may work on a project for 9–10 months and then be reassigned. Pay range: $59,280.00 – $74,880.00 per year.
