Senior Creative Recruiter at Solomon Page

Our client, a sports betting leader, is looking for a Lead UX Researcher to initiate foundational research to understand who the users are and what they need.

Rate: $65/hr+ based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct exploratory interviews with potential or current users to uncover pain points and motivations.
  • Build and maintain personas grounded in real behavioral data.
  • Create user journey maps to visualize friction points and opportunities.
  • Conduct diary studies to understand usage habits over time.
  • Present qualitative findings in an actionable format to drive product strategy, steer ideation and developer roadmaps.
  • Develop and refine a product validation and testing process.
  • Help product teams plan and run usability testing (prototypes, live app flows, or new features).
  • Facilitate first‑time user testing to optimize onboarding.
  • Conduct card sorting for information architecture decisions to make it easier for users to build entries.
  • Own the user research testing tool, ensuring consistent setup, test quality, and analysis.
  • Translate findings into design principles and jobs‑to‑be‑done statements.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in UX Research for digital product environments.
  • Must be a sports enthusiast.
  • Experience establishing UXR best practices and implementing them across the organization in partnership with design and development.
  • Must have a point of view and collaborate cross‑functionally to establish standards and guides for methodologies.
