About Turn/River Capital Turn/River Capital is a private equity firm that applies a proprietary growth engineering strategy to investing, partnering with software businesses to accelerate growth and build enduring value. The firm’s team of equal parts investors and operators provides hands‑on operational support and the flexible capital to systematically scale marketing, sales and customer success at its portfolio companies. Founded in 2012 and based in San Francisco, Turn/River has $5.6 bn in committed capital and invests globally with a focus on North America and Europe.

About the Role We’re looking for a Manager, Marketing Systems to lead marketing technology, data integration, and performance analytics across Turn/River’s portfolio. You’ll be the connective tissue between marketing strategy and technology execution, ensuring that systems, campaigns, and analytics deliver clear, actionable insight tied directly to revenue.

The ideal candidate brings a strong point of view on best‑practice MarTech architecture and how tools fit together to drive growth. You’ll partner closely with RevOps to design and maintain a Salesforce and HubSpot ecosystem that scales efficiently and captures the full marketing‑to‑revenue lifecycle. This is a hands‑on and strategic role for someone fluent in the MarTech ecosystem, attribution frameworks, and campaign optimization. You are someone who enjoys bringing structure, automation, and data clarity to complex GTM environments.

Key Responsibilities

Prioritization & Delivery: Own the roadmap for marketing systems: scoping initiatives, setting priorities, and driving pace across campaigns, integrations, and reporting improvements.

Marketing Technology Ownership: Manage and optimize the marketing tech stack (HubSpot, Salesforce, GA4, digital advertising platforms, PRM, ABM, and experimentation tools) across portfolio companies.

Attribution & Funnel Analytics: Design and maintain reporting frameworks that connect marketing activity to pipeline and revenue; define taxonomy, campaign tagging, and channel attribution logic.

Systems Integration: Partner with Data Engineering and RevOps to ensure seamless, bi‑directional data flow between marketing automation, CRM, and analytics environments.

Process Design & Enablement: Establish best practices for campaign setup, tracking, and measurement. Provide enablement and training to portfolio marketing teams.

Performance Insights: Partner with Analytics Leads to build dashboards and surface insights that help marketers identify high‑yield channels, campaigns, and content.

AI & Automation: Pilot LLM‑powered or AI‑assisted workflows to improve campaign creation, audience targeting, and content optimization.

Stakeholder Partnership: Serve as the day‑to‑day bridge between Marketing and Data teams, translating business goals into system design and actionable insights.

Scalability & Standardization: Develop repeatable frameworks, templates, and documentation to help new portfolio companies onboard quickly and operate efficiently.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in marketing operations, marketing systems, or marketing analytics, including 2+ years owning MarTech stack design and integration across multiple business units.

Deep expertise across GTM platforms including marketing automation, web analytics, digital advertising, sales engagement, PRM, experimentation, chat, and ABM tools, with a clear point of view on best‑practice MarTech architecture.

Familiarity with multi‑touch attribution, funnel reporting, and marketing performance measurement.

Working familiarity with SQL and strong collaboration skills with Data and Engineering teams on integrations, data flow, and automation.

Strong understanding of marketing data flow and lead lifecycle from impression to revenue.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, or a related field.

Exceptional communicator able to distill complex technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with Marketing, RevOps, and leadership.

Curious, structured, and proactive thinker; someone who thrives on bringing order to complexity and enabling data‑driven marketing at scale.

Location and Compensation Location: San Francisco, hybrid work model.
