About the Job We currently have an exciting opportunity for Sr Director, Communications to join our Brand Strategy organization. This role, reporting to the Sr. Vice President Chief Brands Officer, will be responsible for leading consumer and business‑facing communications strategies, navigating crisis and reputation management, and overseeing internal communications inclusive of employee messaging and candidate engagement. You work closely with our Sr. Director, Brand Strategy to ensure your efforts align with key initiatives, as well as Store Communications to support their efforts with our field teams.

What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities

Creates and leads execution of Corporate and Consumer Communication strategies that reflect the Company’s growth aspirations and key areas of focus.

Develops and builds on media relationships to keep Tailored Brands and our consumer‑facing brands top of mind.

Secures relevant placements on behalf of key initiatives that result in increased visibility and engagement with the company and brands.

Responsible for Employee Communication roadmap and continual review for ways to optimize and improve sharing of and connection to this messaging.

Partners with internal stakeholders to navigate crisis and reputation management needs.

Create and implement Candidate Engagement program to ensure company remains relevant and desirable for role sourcing.

Manages external agency partners and ensures they are a trusted voice on behalf of the company in support of media strategies.

Creates strong relationships with external partners to tether our communications goals to theirs, driving synergies across our efforts.

Works closely with Sr. Director, Brand Strategy to understand brand health results and areas for opportunity.

Manages corporate website and its contents to reflect the positioning and narrative for the company.

Leads a team of communications strategists responsible for delivering on Communications goals.

Skills & Experience

Bachelor degree in communications, marketing, public relations, business or other related field.

14+ years of communications and PR experience.

Background in working across a portfolio of brands preferred.

Led a communications team with experience in both corporate and brand.

Has shown an understanding of navigating comms challenges and providing sound and trusted counsel to executive leadership.

Has built relationships with relevant media.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.

Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily.

Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment.

Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, in a hybrid work arrangement from our New York City office.

Salary The starting salary for this position is $214,500 - $230,000. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications. Over time, and subject to performance, tenure, and evolving responsibilities, total compensation for this role may grow to as much as $260,000. Other compensation may include a 25% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy.
