Job Overview
WOAI/KABB seeks an experienced Photographer/ Broadcast Video Journalist to join our team. This role requires expertise in shooting and operating professional video cameras, with a strong understanding of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment of daily local news coverage. Creative, competitive, and eager to win.
Ideal Candidate
Highly motivated with a proven track record in news production.
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
Natural problem solver capable of meeting constant deadlines across multiple platforms.
Requirements
1–2 years of experience shooting and editing video content.
Proficiency in shooting and editing general assignment stories, working alongside reporters, conducting live shots, and assembling packages.
Passion for storytelling and strong non‑linear editing skills (desktop and laptop systems).
Excellent people skills and a collaborative mindset.
Ability to produce compelling stories under tight deadlines.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be able to operate ENG news vehicles.
Physical ability to regularly lift and carry 30 lbs. or more.
Flexible availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Submission of a link to your online demo reel or portfolio showcasing recent work is required.
Schedule Full‑time position includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
