ROC1954, a third-generation family‑owned energy distribution company serving Nevada, Arizona, California, and Utah, is seeking a dynamic Content and Social Media Specialist. This role will execute a 12‑month digital content strategy to establish ROC1954 as a thought leader in the energy distribution industry, aligning with our 2026 goals of digital authority, search engine optimization, video excellence, social visibility, and culture celebration.

Responsibilities

Content Creation & Production : Produce and edit 2 professionally crafted YouTube videos monthly (2‑5 minutes), including in‑depth industry insights, customer stories, and product showcases. Create 8‑10 platform‑optimized Reels monthly for Instagram and Facebook, featuring storytelling, behind‑the‑scenes (BTS) footage, customer features, and event highlights.

Social Media Management : Post 2 Reels per week on Instagram and Facebook (Mondays & Fridays), and manage 2 YouTube Shorts weekly (30‑60 seconds) with quick tips, product highlights, and repurposed content. Align all content with ROC1954’s event calendar and trustworthy, community‑driven brand voice.

YouTube & Podcast Support : Support the “JOBBERS: American Energy” series with 1 episode per month, including a 60‑75 second teaser trailer, 1‑hour podcast discussion (teaser, intro, outro), 3 long‑form clips (2‑5 minutes), 3 shorts (30‑60 seconds), and 8 unique thumbnails per video. Publish on YouTube and Buzzsprout.

Event Coverage : Provide on‑site content capture for local Las Vegas events and coordinate logistics for non‑Vegas shoots (travel costs billed separately).

Collaboration & Optimization : Work with the external Marketing vendors, script and storyboard content, and optimize captions/metadata. Regularly evaluate and adjust posting schedules based on performance analytics.

Qualifications

Proven experience in video production, editing, and social media content creation.

Strong understanding of YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook algorithms and audience engagement strategies.

Ability to craft authentic, industry‑specific content for energy distribution and logistics sectors.

Excellent organizational skills to manage a 2026 content calendar aligned with marketing initiatives and events.

Proficiency with professional equipment and editing software; drone or aerial filming experience a plus.

Required Skills Strong understanding of video production and social media engagement.

Preferred Skills Experience with drone or aerial filming.
