Summary of Job Duties
The School of Art in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas is seeking a Sr. Graphic Designer under the direction of the Chief of Staff and Director of Communications. The School of Art is expanding rapidly thanks to gifts from the Walton Charitable Support Foundation and Windgate Charitable Foundation, creating a fast‑paced environment that requires flexibility and agility.
The Graphic Designer is a key member of the communications team, collaborating to deliver marketing, creative services, web administration, and visual content that propels art education and research. Responsibilities include multimedia content creation, production, and distribution to diverse audiences—students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, local communities, artists, designers, and scholars worldwide.
The role blends creative leadership, project management, and technical expertise to ensure content aligns with branding, objectives, and target audiences. Key duties include conceptualizing and delivering print and digital materials (banners, ads, publications), digital content, web design, and social media assets. In partnership with the Assistant Director of Communications, the designer will manage and execute the School of Art’s websites and social media platforms, participate in project assessments and meetings, present to key stakeholders, manage graphic design interns, and perform other assigned duties.
