Senior Technical Writer – Aberdeen

RSC2 is currently looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join our growing team in Aberdeen to support the newly awarded SAI contract!
Responsibilities
Independently create, update, coordinate, and staff T&E documents that are managed under PD SAI.
Review and analyze current draft and/or approved versions of PD SAI Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), Test Plans, Test Reports, and other program documentation for consistency, conformity to C5ISR requirements, adherence to higher headquarters directives, program impacts due to changes, etc. and provide appropriate comments to PD SAI.
Review program documents for consistency of schedules, test strategy, and force level interoperability requirements.
Coordinate modifications to TEMPs; participate in test and evaluation IPT on behalf of PD SAI.
Assist the combat developer in requirements research by ensuring requirements can be achieved with either current or anticipated technology.
Evaluate and balance user desires against anticipated budget expectations and assist and educate users to encourage the development of testable requirements.
Provide support in preparing briefing packages for presentation to high level leadership.
Write a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses.
Coordinate the display of graphics and the production of the document.
Ensure content is of high quality and conforms with standards.
Requirements
Active Secret clearance level.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
Experience with DoD 5000, DoD program of record (PoR) documentation, U.S. Army and C4ISR abbreviations and acronyms, proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat software.
A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in writing, editing and managing technical documentation and operator/maintenance manuals for military systems and equipment.
Four (4) additional years of direct relevant technical experience or relevant military service may be substituted for education.

Compensation Salary at RSC2 is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $85,000 to $190,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical total compensation range for this position.
