Job Description The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a tenure‑track law library faculty position. The Research Librarian / Assistant Professor is part of a team of JD‑ed librarians who support student learning and faculty scholarship at the William S. Boyd School of Law and other law school activities.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with law faculty on scholarship and teaching.
Interact with students through teaching and outreach, including guest lecturing in law school classes.
Participate in the faculty liaison program, support faculty scholarship, provide current‑awareness services, and advise on publication metrics.
Engage in law school governance and initiatives.
Take responsibility for particular aspects of library services as needed, including supervising law student research assistants.
Teach formal, for‑credit, upper‑level classes focused on research sources, strategies, and methods.
Contribute to the mission of the law school and library on a variety of levels, supporting diversity, inclusion, and innovation.
Minimum Qualifications
J.D. degree from an ABA‑accredited law school.
Master’s degree in library or information science from an accredited college or university (or enrollment in a joint degree program, completing both within nine months of hire).
