Role Overview SurvivorNet is seeking a Senior Medical Editor / Writer to lead the development and editorial integrity of our medical education content for both patients and healthcare professionals . This is a pivotal role that combines scientific rigor, editorial excellence, and strategic communication skills . The ideal candidate can translate complex oncology data into clear, engaging stories

whether writing a patient guide, reviewing a CME-style piece, or helping shape a branded educational campaign for clinicians. Youll collaborate closely with SurvivorNets editorial leadership, medical advisors, and commercial partners to ensure every piece of content meets the highest standards of accuracy, clarity, and impact.

Key Responsibilities Editorial Leadership & Strategy Drive the editorial strategy for SurvivorNets medical education content across multiple oncology disease areas. Lead the planning, writing, and editing of both patient- and physician-facing materials, ensuring medical accuracy and engagement. Partner with clinicians, thought leaders, and internal creative teams to develop content that advances clinical understanding and patient empowerment. Shape the editorial voice and tone for complex medical education topics while maintaining empathy and accessibility. Medical Writing & Content Development Research, write, and edit a range of content, including expert articles, explainer videos, CME-style educational pieces, and branded campaigns. Translate peer-reviewed studies, clinical data, and conference findings (ASCO, ESMO, ASH, etc.) into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences. Develop educational frameworks and scripts for both lay and professional viewers

from disease overviews to mechanism-of-action explainers. Review and fact-check all content to ensure consistency with FDA, NCCN, and industry guidelines. Stakeholder Collaboration Work with medical and scientific advisors to validate all information and maintain SurvivorNets reputation for accuracy and trust. Collaborate with creative, video, and brand teams to develop compelling visual and narrative storytelling. Partner with life science clients and agency partners on branded medical education initiatives

ensuring compliance and scientific fidelity.

Qualifications Required: Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, or related field (PhD, PharmD, MD, or MS preferred). 510 years of experience in medical writing, editing, or communications, with a focus on oncology, hematology, or specialty care. Proven ability to create and manage medical education content for both healthcare professionals and patients. Deep understanding of clinical research, oncology treatment landscapes, and the healthcare communications ecosystem. Exceptional editorial judgment and ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences. Strong organizational and project management skills. Preferred: Experience in medical journalism, CME, or med comms agencies. Familiarity with FDA, PhRMA, and ACCME guidelines. Experience collaborating with KOLs and academic partners. A portfolio that demonstrates versatility

from scientific depth to emotionally compelling narrative writing. Digital publishing experience (CMS).

The expected base salary range for this role is $60,000$120,000, commensurate with experience.
