Hearst Television is seeking an experienced digital news leader who understands how to connect national news to a local audience in a meaningful way. As Digital Content Manager, National News, you'll collaborate with our team of talented journalists to strengthen storytelling, innovate responsibly and grow our digital reach by using data to inform decision-making. This role calls for a strong leader who can motivate their team with clarity, empathy and measurable impact. You will report to the Sr Director Digital Content and Strategy.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach, and empower a national digital team, fostering collaboration while stepping in hands-on to execute when needed.
  • Build a strong, supportive culture grounded in optimism, empathy and accountability for excellence.
  • Guide teams through industry change with confidence—building trust, maintaining momentum and driving results through transition.
  • Communicate with precision and structure, ensuring clear plans, aligned priorities and effective coordination across teams.
  • Use analytics and performance data to shape editorial strategy, strengthen coverage and grow audience engagement.
  • Combine creative vision with execution, innovating new approaches to national storytelling and digital growth.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in a professional newsroom
  • At least 2 years experience leading a team of journalists
  • This is an in-office position located at our station in Pittsburgh, PA
  • Flexibility to work different shifts (including overnights, nights and weekends), holidays on short notice to cover a 24-hour news cycle
  • Related military experience will be considered
  • In-person attendance is required
