Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., some nights/weekends.
Job Summary
The Social Media Manager/Digital Content Creator leads SNU’s online brand presence and ensures consistency with the SNU Brand Guide and Creative standards. This role manages social media strategy, content creation, and audience engagement across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with campus creatives and marketing teams to create visually excellent social media content.
Create digital content for the university social media platforms designed to attract prospective students and engage alumni and donors.
Analyze social media engagement data and identify trends to inform future strategy.
Monitor audience interactions and respond to comments and messages to maintain strong community engagement.
Plan and execute digital content that builds community and supports the university’s mission and brand.
Develop and manage a scheduling calendar to coordinate consistent, mission‑driven content.
Monitor key performance indicators of social media marketing campaigns for monthly reporting.
Monitor competitor activity and social media trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
Hire, train, and oversee social media student interns.
Work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
Work independently while demonstrating initiative and accountability.
Deliver excellent customer service through clear, timely communication.
Contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace.
Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.
Strong writing/copywriting skills.
Great organizational skills; ability to monitor multiple social media platforms concurrently.
Excellent communication skills for reporting analytics/results.
Good leadership skills to organize social media interns.
Ability to build community and stay calm under high‑pressure online interactions.
Strong technical skills to create visuals and support collaboration with marketing and creative team members.
Proficiency with Monday.com for project management.
Ability to study and interpret marketing analytics for strategic planning.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple demands in a fast‑paced work environment.
Typing, punctuation, and spelling competency.
Novice photography and/or video skills preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in social media for organizations.
Experience in higher education.
Supervision
Receives supervision and work assignments from a designated supervisor, while other staff members may provide work direction.
May be responsible for coordinating work assignments for student employees.
