We are looking for a Senior Designer for our Atlanta studio . The role will lead all design phases for interior projects, establish the vision, lead the team and engage extensively with clients. Responsibilities Develop overall design for project Direct staff to complete design and technical drawing Review design and technical drawing of other designers (more junior) Review engineering drawings to ensure compliance with design solution Work with technical staff to resolve inconsistencies in drawings Research and select fixtures and finishes for projects Obtain client approval and ensure integration into overall design Produce, review, and finalize space plans for projects Utilize extensive detailing knowledge and finalize details on projects Develop and deliver overall design and furniture packages Review and produce final cost estimates Assist with support for field surveys when necessary Manage overall design budget and inform PM and/or client of any variances Manage work of other designers, oversee tasks, and provide feedback on work product Organize and conduct client interviews to determine space needs and requirements Provide ongoing information to client on design specifications; maintain good working knowledge of Affinity program tools Qualifications Graduate of architecture or design school; equivalent experience may be substituted 8+ years of experience in corporate interior design projects Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Extensive knowledge of design principles and aesthetics Extensive knowledge of space planning methodology Extensive knowledge of furnishings and finishes Proficiency with concepts of furniture layout Expert sketching and rendering skills Expert interior architecture detailing skills Extensive knowledge of CDs and procedures Extensive knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements Extensive knowledge of contract administration Intermediate MS Office Suite skills Advanced Revit skills Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills Affinity Program skills or equivalent Extensive verbal and written communication skills Extensive presentation and graphic communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage and lead staff through direct authority and subject matter expertise Working knowledge of budget preparation and proven ability to manage projects within budget constraints Working Conditions The Senior Designer will primarily work in a studio setting with limited physical requirements. Occasional client site visits for site verifications and field surveys may be required. The position presents no occupational and safety risks.
