The Mayors Office of Creative Communications team is responsible for generating digital content representative of mayoral policy and its impact on everyday New Yorkers. The team utilizes social media to communicate the unique voice of the administration through live coverage official photos videos graphics and more.
About the Role
Primary responsibilities include overseeing the following: Videography; pre- and post-production editing production. Additional responsibilities will include but not limited to :
- Serve as a video producer in the Mayors Office of Creative Communications
- Manage the shooting production writing and editing of high-quality videos for public information releases;
- Coordinate the intersections of multimedia projects and lead information sharing and communications efforts with compelling video stories that help people understand policies projects and initiatives.
- Pitch and create compelling video content from start to finish
- Edit video content for multiple platforms and channels
- Lead video shoots with high-ranking principles
- Manage equipment and support Director in managing the team
- Provide on the ground video and photo coverage of live events
- Serve as a video producer in the Mayors Office of Creative Communication
Hours / Shift
Day - Due to the necessary support duties of this position in a 24 / 7 operation candidate may be required to work various shifts such as weekends and / or evenings.

Qualifications
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and / or experience which is equivalent to 1 or 2 above. However all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in 1 above.
