Key job responsibilities

  • Work autonomously while balancing design quality within technical constraints and business requirements.
  • Engage with our partner and end users to understand their needs and design experiences that guide them through onboarding, education, troubleshooting and understanding eero products and services.
  • Use customer research, wire‑framing, rapid prototyping, and usability testing to invent and validate designs.
  • Consume, improve, and contribute to the eero design library; develop and maintain design documentation for shared patterns and components.
  • Influence and collaborate with stakeholders from Product, Engineering, Customer Experience, Brand, and Marketing.
  • Work closely with other designers to gather feedback, build consistency, and critique each other’s designs; encourage team members to learn and grow skills.

A day in the life: You love being part of a highly collaborative team that’s growing, building, and shipping at a fast pace. Each day, you’re using customer and partner feedback to constantly bring a customer‑obsessed perspective to your design solutions. You design and iterate quickly based on data. You’re busy finding ways to invent or improve design standards and best practices for the team.

Basic Qualifications

  • Have an available online portfolio.
  • 7+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with hands‑on visual design.
  • Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps.
  • Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards.
  • Experience with UX design of complex workflows.
  • Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity.
  • Highly proficient in a variety of design tools (Figma, Rive, Spline, Adobe CC, etc).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
