This Amazon Web Services (AWS) Financial Communications PR Manager position is accountable for developing and executing compelling content and storylines that drive greater awareness and support for AWS among business and financial reporters covering cloud, AI, and the AWS businesses. In this critical role, you will help people gain a deeper understanding of the financial impact of the AWS business strategy, notable milestones, service announcements, and deals.
Key job responsibilities As the financial communications lead for the world's most comprehensive cloud platform, you'll work directly with senior leaders to help craft compelling stories around AWS's financial performance. This position requires exceptional financial acumen, strategic communications expertise, and the ability to translate technical cloud concepts into meaningful business impact stories.
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with finance organizations and financial data
Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks
Current experience managing media relationships, and a network of media contacts
Strong interpersonal skills
Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and organizational skills
Outstanding attention to detail and ability to communicate complex topics effectively
Passionate about excellence in writing and verbal communications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
