Job Summary / Description We are seeking a creative videojournalist to join our award‑winning news team. The ideal candidate will shoot, write, and edit stories for newscasts, operate live equipment for our morning reporter, and rapidly grasp new technology. The role requires strong technical troubleshooting, effective communication, and the ability to independently cover stories assigned by management, including breaking news, meetings, sports, and general assignments. Training will be provided for drone operation and FAA credential acquisition; this is a non‑on‑air position.

Duties / Responsibilities

Strong videography, editing, and technical skills.

Willingness to train and be certified to fly a station drone for broadcast use.

Writing content as needed under the supervision of producers or management.

Work independently, sending content back to the station, and handle multiple assignments.

Fill in as an editor, assistant producer, or any other capacity as needed.

General understanding of news on every platform is a plus.

Qualifications / Requirements

BA/BS in Broadcast Journalism or a related field is preferred but not required.

Prior professional experience in news media is preferred but not required.

Ability to work effectively under deadlines and in breaking news situations.

Excellent communication skills and ability to take direction from others.

Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes early morning hours and on‑call duties.

Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
