Duke Head and Neck Surgery & Communication Sciences, Surgical Oncologist

The Department of Head and Neck Surgery & Communication Sciences at Duke University is seeking a fellowship-trained, board-eligible/board-certified clinical track faculty member to join the Division of Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at the level of Assistant Professor. Role Overview:

• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary Head and Neck Disease Management Team. 
• Provide an integrated and personalized treatment approach for patients with thyroid, oral cavity, pharyngeal, laryngeal, sinonasal, skin, salivary, and other types of head and neck cancers.
• Receive an academic appointment at Duke University.
• Perform complex head and neck surgical resections, including microvascular reconstruction
• Educate fellows, residents, and students.
• Conduct clinical or translational research.
• Participate in Head and Neck Service activities.
• Optional: perform craniomaxillofacial trauma coverage in collaboration with the Plastic, Oral, and Maxillofacial surgery.

Key Qualifications:

• Board certified or eligible in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery
• Training in an AHNS accredited head and neck surgical oncology fellowship 
• Experience in Trans Oral Robotic Surgery (TORS)
• Experience in Microvascular reconstruction
• Experience in integrating multi-disciplinary care of patients with advanced head and neck cancer
• Craniomaxillofacial trauma skills are welcomed, but not required
