Core Skills Strong skills in C/C++/Java/Python Strong with Audio Frameworks, codecs, DSPs (Qualcomm Hexagon DSP, Audio Weaver) and tuning and debugging tools Hands‑on experience with IVI platforms (e.g., Android Automotive, QNX Hypervisor, AGL) Integrate third‑party audio middleware (e.g., Dolby) and comply with automotive standards Experience in audio system architecture and design reviews Strong knowledge of automotive SOCs and microcontrollers Debug complex issues in the audio stack spanning HAL, drivers, middleware, and user‑space applications Experience with communication interfaces such as Ethernet, UART, SPI, and USB Experience with CAN, SOME I/P, AVB, or A2B communication protocols is a plus Knowledge of optimizing audio latency, synchronization, and performance for multi‑zone and multi‑source playback scenarios Support certification, compliance, and end‑of‑line (EOL) testing processes related to audio Strong proficiency in Linux/Android audio stack (Audio HAL, ALSA, PulseAudio, AAudio, AudioFlinger) Specialization Strong debugging skills using tools such as GDB, strace, logs, and oscilloscopes/analyzers Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment Experience with SCM tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, JIRA, and RTC Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development life cycles (SDLC) Knowledge of 3rd‑party software integration in a multi‑party supplier ecosystem Experience with premium branded audio system integration (e.g., Alpine, Harmon) Experience with voice assistant technologies (Alexa, Google, GSA, WuW) Familiarity with ISO 26262 or ASPICE‑compliant development environments Key Responsibilities Architect and design automotive audio sub‑systems for IVI and cluster features, including media, telephony, navigation prompts, voice assistants, and projection modes (CarPlay, Android Auto) Define and implement end‑to‑end audio signal chains and processing flows for pre/post‑processing modules Develop and optimize Audio HAL/PAL layers using AIDL, and interface with Android and Vera OS audio frameworks Design and develop low‑level audio drivers for DSPs (Qualcomm Hexagon, AWE), ARM processors, and external audio peripherals Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (system architects, DSP engineers, hardware engineers, platform teams) for feature definition, design, validation, and integration Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or related field Minimum eight years of relevant software design and development life cycle experience, with at least eight years in one of the domains: in‑vehicle infotainment, audio, Android AOSP, audio DSP Strong proficiency in Linux/Android audio stack (Audio HAL, ALSA, Android audio) Strong experience with audio frameworks, codecs, and audio DSPs (Qualcomm Hexagon DSP, DSP‑C Audio Weaver, NXP, SigmaDSP) Hands‑on experience with IVI platforms (e.g., Android Automotive, QNX Hypervisor, AGL) Proven experience integrating third‑party audio/voice applications (e.g., Dolby, voice assistance) Debug complex issues in the audio stack spanning HAL, drivers, middleware, and user‑space applications Experience with communication interfaces and protocols such as Ethernet, UART, SPI, USB, CAN, SOME I/P, and A2B Experience supporting certification, compliance, and end‑of‑line (EOL) testing processes in vehicle Exceptional problem‑solving, oral and written communication, and accountability skills Preferred Qualifications Minimum eight years of experience in automotive OEM or Tier‑1 in in‑vehicle infotainment audio Experience architecting and designing automotive audio sub‑systems for IVI and cluster features, including media, telephony, navigation prompts, voice assistants, and projection modes (CarPlay, Android Auto) Experience with SCM tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, JIRA, and RTC Experience with third‑party software component integration in a multi‑party supplier ecosystem Experience defining and implementing end‑to‑end audio signal chains and processing flows for pre/post‑processing modules in DSP Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development practices Benefits Health & Wellbeing – Comprehensive coverages encompassing the physical, mental, emotional, and overall wellbeing of our employees, including short‑ and long‑term disability.
