Republic Airways Internship Program

Republic Airways is proud to offer an internship program that prepares students for the workforce. While we provide resources to help interns sharpen skills and make meaningful contributions in their department, we also provide the following during the internships: mentorship program, ability to shadow various departments, professional development workshops and departmental information sessions, direct exposure to aviation industry, facilities tours, etc. Additional opportunities to work with other interns directly on projects, housing stipend or mileage reimbursement provided, if applicable, and competitive hourly pay.

Essential duties include consistently communicating across all internal employee workgroups via multiple platforms to highlight current and trending Republic news and opportunities, assisting with writing and editing for internal communications, including a newsletter, conducting interviews and producing high-quality blogs and articles, assisting with outreach efforts externally about policies, programs and initiatives, creating visual graphics to promote internal and external initiatives and events, assisting with research, planning, writing and development of new ideas for social content calendar and weekly newsletters, actively seeking and suggesting opportunities to increase brand awareness, and implementing new ideas as requested. Ensures accuracy, consistency and adherence to both Republic Airways and LIFT Academy brands in all written materials. Additional tasks as assigned.

Education and/or experience includes pursuing a bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Multimedia Design, or related, minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, advanced Microsoft Office skills, ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a business group, and positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment and ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal communications.

Other qualifications include ability to work onsite at our Indianapolis Headquarters location, unless otherwise directed by hiring manager, ability to work up to 40 hours per week with a minimum of 20 hours for spring and fall interns, and eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Language skills include ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the business community in a professional way. Ability to effectively present information to management and colleagues.

Reasoning/problem solving ability includes ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to maintain confidentiality. Decision making includes making day to day decisions used to support strategic direction. Decisions often require some thought without established precedents or procedures. Decisions tend to be short term and usually of moderate cost. Able to work independently or as part of a team to drive results.

Physical demands include ability to move about the work environment. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. Work environment typically not exposed to extreme environmental conditions.
