Join to apply for the Designer II role at Ryan Companies US, Inc. Ryan Companies is seeking an organized, innovative, collaborative, and forward-thinking Designer II who strives for excellence. The ideal candidate will be capable of problem-solving and designing both collaboratively and independently. Candidates with approximately 4 or more years of relevant experience are preferred, but those with unique backgrounds or clear potential will also be considered.
Ryan Companies employs a unique integrated delivery process involving architecture, engineering, construction, development, real estate management, and capital markets. This role requires proactive and positive collaboration with local teams and across regions within a national design practice.
Responsibilities Collaborate with clients, project architects, design project managers, designers, development, construction, and consultants to develop documentation for coordination and construction.
Problem-solve and apply basic design principles.
Perform tasks with high collaboration and lead by example.
Contribute to company culture through participation in office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
Set and pursue annual goals aligned with personal, professional, and company growth.
Mentor junior staff members.
Participate in Ryan’s annual review and goal-setting processes.
Project Delivery Create comprehensive design documents to meet project goals, milestones, and schedules.
Detail efforts to produce complete sets of construction documents.
Resolve complex technical issues collaboratively.
Lead and participate in design, consultant, and project team meetings.
Research and resolve code compliance and regulatory issues.
Contribute to QA/QC processes and project specifications.
Identify and communicate deviations in project scope and collaborate on resolutions.
Job Requirements Degree in Architecture (Bachelor's or Master's) or technical equivalent.
Relevant technical or professional experience.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate within diverse teams.
Proficiency in Revit, BIM tools, Building Codes, Documentation, and Constructability.
Knowledge of Bluebeam is desirable.
Preferred Qualifications LEED AP and/or WELL AP certification.
Experience with design-build projects or large-scale industrial projects.
