Graphic Designer: Government Proposals

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Job Type: Contract

Compensation Range: $30 - $35 per hour

We are seeking an experienced graphic designer for a contract role focused specifically on government proposals and RFI documents. This role requires proven experience in a government contracting environment and strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for document creation. The initial term is 3‑6 months with some flexibility in work location; occasional office visits and flexible hours will be required for clear communication and successful collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design work on proposals, RFIs, presentations, and other documents for business development.
• Support government proposal work primarily; commercial work is minimal.
• Produce infographics and formatted documents in Word and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Strong government proposal experience is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word for design deliverables.
• Portfolio includes examples of government proposal or RFI work, even if redacted.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and clients.

Work Arrangements & Location

• Regular hours ideally 9 am‑6 pm Eastern Time, with flexibility for extended hours, evenings, or weekends as needed.
• Most work is remote; occasional office visits required, especially on the first day.
• Preference for candidates local to DC/Baltimore/Tysons, but applicants from other regions (e.g., Atlanta, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Chicago) with the right experience will be considered.

Contract & Hiring Details

• Three to six‑month contract with potential extension.
• Bill rate flexibility for outstanding candidates; those within the requested range prioritized.

Role Differentiators

• Focused on hands‑on work in Word and PowerPoint; senior designers usually move away from these platforms.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
