Base pay range $28.00/hr - $40.00/hr This range is provided by Smokey Point Behavioral Hospital. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Responsibilities Observe and apply sound judgment to patients\' physical and mental conditions/needs. Document and communicate changes in patient\'s appearance, behavior, and ability to work towards treatment plan goals. Provide assessment in psychosocial/leisure and recreational skills development/deficiency. Assist patients in achieving their optimum level of independent functioning. Plan and implement activity therapy for assigned patient caseload within the facility. Model and teach patients appropriate social, coping, and stress management techniques. Contribute to treatment plans with specific goals and interventions in therapeutic activities. Qualifications & Experience Education & Licensure: Bachelor\'s Degree in music therapy from an accredited college or university. Master’s degree preferred. Certification or licensure by the state of Washington and/or national governing body in music therapy. Experience: One (1) year of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness preferred. Additional Skill Requirements: CPR Certification and CPI training prior to assisting with a restraining procedure and within 30 days of employment. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
