UI Product Engineer, Dashboard Experience

About the Department The Cloudflare Dashboard team builds a cohesive, self‑serve user journey across all plans and personas. We enable growth by allowing users to adopt, onboard, and expand product usage through the dashboard alone, and we tackle cross‑cutting concerns that improve developer productivity, code quality, application performance, and security.
About the Role We are looking for an experienced, design‑minded product engineer to bridge product engineering and design engineering. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, a strong foundation in system design, and the ability to translate design vision into polished, performant code. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and systems engineers to build scalable developer experiences across our Dashboard.
Responsibilities
Own code from inception to release, balancing engineering excellence with visual aesthetics.
Architect scalable frontend solutions, develop new components, polish UI details, and improve developer productivity through better tooling and frameworks.
Collaborate with product, design, and systems engineers to deliver high‑quality, performant, and beautiful interfaces.
Care deeply about code quality, customer experience, and the craft of building beautiful, functional interfaces.
Interact with a variety of languages and technologies, primarily
TypeScript
and
React .
Qualifications
BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum 4+ years of experience building web applications.
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; expertise with TypeScript.
Extensive knowledge of the JavaScript ecosystem and build pipelines.
Experience working with cross‑functional teams and collaborating with product and design.
Strong analytical and debugging skills; unit/integration testing experience.
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
Working knowledge of internationalization, localization, and accessibility.
Bonus: micro‑frontend experience.
Compensation Compensation is location dependent. For Colorado‑based hires: Estimated annual salary $137,000 – $167,000.
Equity This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
