Marketing Director, Americas (Head of Marketing)
The Marketing Director is a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing the overall marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, generate leads, and achieve revenue targets. This individual will lead a team and collaborate cross-functionally with retail, omnichannel, and other functions to ensure alignment and maximize impact. Job responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive integrated marketing plans to increase brand awareness, drive consideration, and lead to conversion across all distribution channels, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives. Identify and evaluate distribution channel development programs, including wholesale and retail marketing. Identify target markets and develop effective marketing campaigns to reach them. Brand Management & Communications: Establish and maintain a consistent brand image throughout all marketing channels and consumer touchpoints, ensuring brand standards are upheld. Manage public relations and communications in a holistic manner that complements the broader marketing and media strategy. Partner closely with creative teams to develop effective and impactful assets for use across all consumer marketing channels while delivering performance. Proactively identify local marketing opportunities, relationships, and partnerships to create cultural relevancy for the brand. Digital & Performance Marketing: Collaborate with the omnichannel team on full-funnel media plans, including performance marketing efforts, ensuring KPIs are met while maintaining control of brand image. Partner with the omnichannel team to execute the company's digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing. Support in analyzing website traffic and online marketing performance to identify areas for improvement. Influence cross functionally and innovate with new media marketing tactics across social, digital, and direct response channels. Lead the NA marketing function and its team structure based on evolving business needs and opportunities to support the organization's sales and revenue objectives. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of marketing professionals, setting clear goals and expectations, providing regular feedback and coaching, and fostering a collaborative environment. Resolve conflict and facilitate changes in the marketing group's structure to ensure objective fulfillment and swift response to marketing problems and opportunities. Budget & Performance Management: Develop and manage the marketing operating budget, ensuring effective resource allocation. Manage media agency across all planning and optimization efforts across advertising and promotion activities, including print, online, digital, social, OOH, and other new channels. Track key metrics and success criteria for all marketing, advertising, and PR programs and activations to extract learnings and insights for future optimizations. Market Research & Analysis: Oversee and evaluate competitive analysis across the media landscape to inform marketing and paid media strategy. Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats. Analyze customer data to understand customer needs and preferences. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with e-commerce and CRM teams to identify opportunities, review, and approve customer segmentation, messaging, and creative. Work closely with sales, product development, and other departments to ensure alignment and maximize the impact of marketing efforts. Communicate marketing plans and results to key stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred. 15+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 7 years in a leadership role. Demonstrable experience designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns. Experience in growth marketing and customer acquisition, with strong knowledge of SEO, web analytics, and Google Ads (formerly Adwords). Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques. Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies. Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Strong analytical, project management, and problem‑solving skills. Strategic mindset, with the ability to make difficult decisions. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
