SUMMARY The Worship Director partners closely and is led by the Pastor of Worship to shepherd and equip the worship ministry. This role emphasizes volunteer development, administrative coordination and fostering a healthy, unified team culture. The ideal candidate is a servant-leader who prioritizes equipping others over personal recognition, thrives under leadership and has a heart for shepherding both people and teams.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruit, train and equip volunteer musicians and vocalists
Coordinate volunteer auditions, onboarding and scheduling
Create and curate resources to equip and develop worship teams
Lead worship on weekends and select events as needed
Support weekend service preparation, rehearsals and flow to uphold GCC’s standard of intentional excellence
Foster a culture of discipleship, fun, unity and excellent stewardship of gifts within the worship team
Partner with the Pastor of Worship and Creative team on creative initiatives
Openness and willingness to leverage various artforms to help people engage with Jesus
PREFERRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of five years of worship leadership experience in a church or ministry setting
Ability to lead musically with an instrument (vocals prefered, but open to strong musical leadership) without relying on charts
Strong and proven organizational and administrative skills
Ability to lead musicians, vocalists and bands with clarity and inspiration
Physically able to lift 30 pounds and work extended hours in various ministry seasons
Self-motivated and able to work independently while thriving under leadership
Committed to a full-time ministry lifestyle (40+ hours/week)
