Job Description
The Product Marketing Co‑Op – Interior Architectural Paint within the Global Architectural Product Development Team at Sherwin‑Williams will play a key role in supporting strategic marketing initiatives across product commercialization, product line management, and brand awareness efforts for leading brands such as Sherwin‑Williams®, Valspar®, HGTV Home® by Sherwin‑Williams, and Dutch Boy®. This is a year‑round co‑op opportunity based at our Cleveland Headquarters.
Responsibilities
Support Product Lifecycle Management: Assist the Interior Architectural Paint Team in overseeing the full lifecycle of product lines, including development, launch, maintenance, and rationalization strategies.
Lead Competitive Analysis Efforts: Conduct in‑depth market assessments, competitive pricing analyses, and retail audits to identify trends, opportunities, and threats within the paint category.
Participate in Product Evaluation Sessions: Engage in hands‑on application and testing of products at our lab facility to assess performance, quality, and customer experience.
Analyze Business and Financial Data: Pull and interpret key business and financial reports to support strategic decision‑making and performance tracking.
Assist with Marketing Communication Management: Work closely with the Marketing Communications team on packaging development, catalog updates, and the creation of marketing assets to support brand initiatives.
Engage with Cross‑Functional Teams: Partner with internal stakeholders across Brand/Channel Marketing, Sales, Technical Services, Global Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure alignment and execution of business objectives.
Qualifications
Formal Education : Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Marketing or a Business‑related field.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be available to work close to 37.5 hours per week during the summer and 20‑25 hours per week during the school year.
Knowledge & Experience : Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), self‑motivated, enthusiastic and eager to learn, organized with strong attention to detail and priority, analytical and metrics‑driven, comfortable with public speaking and small group collaboration.
