About the Role As a Group Director of Programmatic & Media, you’ll play an integral leadership role leading the Programmatic media team (P&M). The P&M team develops and executes media plans spanning both programmatic and direct media partnerships. Within this team,&M channel leads facilitate buying across various mediums, including CTV, display, native, and video. As department lead, you will own staffing allocation, internal processes related to finance and revenue documentation, coordination across internal teams (AdOps, Analytics, Tech), and will drive the strategic vision for growth and innovation for the unit.

You will work with team leads to provide continuous training and education on positioning of programmatic buys, changes to the ecosystem, and best practices for our clients. You will join new business and sales opportunities as well as review content for quarterly business reviews to ensure alignment with best practices and best-in-class programmatic strategy.

Responsibilities:

Set the overall Programmatic & Direct media strategy to drive client business outcomes, leading to client retention, cross-sell revenue growth, and securing net new business opportunities.

Act as a sponsor and point of escalation for key accounts running programmatic media

Implement internal processes to improve workflow and efficiency across the P&M team and other internal groups

Manage team bandwidth, resource planning, and account allocations

Provide subject matter expertise on executing programmatic and direct media campaigns across different platforms and publishers

Participate in thought leadership and act as a Subject Matter Expert for internal and external opportunities (ie, speaking engagements)

Drive the overall vision for the team and support any shifts in go-to-market strategy as the industry evolves

About You The essentials:

10+ years of experience in media planning and programmatic display, native, video, CTV, and audio

5+ years of direct people management experience, managing a team of at least 10 people

Experience working with at least two of the following: DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP, StackAdapt and opinions on when to use one over the other

Experience presenting programmatic and/or direct media performance and strategy in a client-facing situation to senior leadership

Very high attention to detail and ability to synthesize large amounts of data into actionable information

A general understanding of Search and Social digital media tactics and how they interact with programmatic media

Solid grasp of the leading DSPs in the market and a clear recommendation for when to implement PMP and PG in media plans

Understanding of analytic platforms such as Google Analytics and advanced measurement such as MTA and MMM

Not a must, but a plus:

Hands on experience in Google Tag Manager & DoubleClick Campaign Manager

Experience leading cross channel performance marketing efforts, or specifically leading accounts running Search & Social efforts alongside Programmatic & Media

Familiarity with advanced measurement tools such as Measured, LiftLab, Haus

Salary Range$160,000—$185,000 USD
