Marketing Specialist - Main Administration - Full Time - Days
Primary Purpose:
This position supports the strategic marketing planning and execution for The Christ Hospital’s Orthopedics and Surgical Services lines. The Marketing Specialist collaborates with marketing leadership, clinical service line directors, and physician stakeholders to strengthen the hospital’s reputation for orthopedic excellence, surgical innovation, and patient outcomes. This individual combines strong project management skills with creativity and analytical thinking to drive patient acquisition and service line growth.
Responsibilities
Partner with the marketing leadership and orthopedic/surgical service line teams to develop marketing strategies that elevate awareness, drive volume, and highlight clinical innovation and patient outcomes. Conduct market assessments to identify consumer and referring physician needs and preferences.
Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across paid, earned, and owned channels. Manage development of collateral, website updates, social and digital ads, media placements, and storytelling opportunities. Partner with agencies, creative teams, and PR to maximize impact and ROI.
Support referral growth initiatives by creating targeted communication materials for referring physicians, highlighting surgical capabilities, outcomes, and innovations. Work with physician relations and clinical teams to ensure message consistency and visibility across referral networks.
Provide marketing consultation to additional service lines as requested, collaborating across departments to manage smaller projects such as brochures, event materials, or intranet updates.
Participate in hospital committees, marketing meetings, and media on-call rotations as required.
Qualifications Knowledge and Skills:
Education:
College degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, Integrated Strategic Communications, business or related field.
Years of Experience:
1-3 years' experience in marketing, advertising, digital marketing and/or communications (Preferred – 3 years direct experience in healthcare marketing and physician interaction).
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Strong strategic thinker, proven project management skills, experience in measurement and tracking, strong presentation skills. Must have well developed, proven leadership skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Must possess a depth in digital marketing experience including online display, content marketing, social media and mobile.
