Job Description
The Marketing Production Coordinator is responsible for managing the production schedules, workflows, and distribution of marketing assets and publication materials for enrollment initiatives. This position ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Working closely with the Marketing and Strategic Communications team, this role supports the full lifecycle of marketing projects from initiation to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate publication and marketing production schedules across all stages, including editing, design, printing, and distribution.
Determine production timelines, communicate timelines to staff, and monitor progress to meet project goals.
Maintain and update the MSC project management system to track workflows and assign tasks.
Collect and track cost estimates for printing, postage, and vendor services to ensure cost-effective production. Prepare and submit purchase order requests, monitor expenditures, and reconcile final costs.
Serve as a liaison with internal partners (Uni-Print) and external vendors for printing, promotional items, and mailing services.
Monitor inventory of print and promotional materials; track usage and reorder as needed.
Works closely with the regional marketing manager, partners across Ohio States campuses, as well as content experts, designers, email and CRM team members, production coordinators and others in the department to produce high quality work on deadline.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
At least 2 years of experience in project coordination or marketing production.
Strong organizational, time management skills and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, working in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with print production, direct mail campaigns, and vendor management.
Experience with project management software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired
Experience in higher education marketing campaigns and knowledge of mailing procedures and terminology is preferred.
