Design Engine
Responsibilities
Collaborative work effort with the engineering department to generate new product ideas and further develop existing products Conduct market research for trending new design features Provide the marketing team with clean and presentable product images and illustrations/line-art for user manuals and other marketing material. Produce creative concept ID Sketches for review and critiques (Ink/Marker Sketches or Digital Sketches) Continuing effort to develop a strong company brand language and maintain consistent design application throughout the product line Education
Bachelor’s (Required) – 4‑year degree in Industrial Design or equivalent Experience & Knowledge Required
Industrial Design: 1‑3 years industry experience (Preferred) Proficient in Solidworks 3D modeling (Previous experience with other 3D modeling or surface modeling programs a plus, but not required) Proficient in and intimate knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (CC‑2023 or higher) Photoshop – ID Concept Sketching, Image Editing, High Quality 2D Rendering Illustrator – Vector Works, Infographics, Packaging Layout, Various Advertising Layouts, Product Label Artworks InDesign – Presentation Layout, Instruction Manual Layout, Various Advertising Layouts Proficient in ID Product Concept Sketching on 2‑D medium (paper) Proficient in Keyshot‑11 (or higher) 3‑D model rendering (Previous experience with other similar programs a plus, but not required) Ability to participate in product concept brainstorming sessions within a team setting Ability to accept constructive criticism and refine stronger product concept ideas Ability to use Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite Job Type
