Position Summary
Distribution Line EIT/Designer is a role for recent graduates or new hires with little to no previous power delivery experience.
The position involves performing engineering tasks of varying complexity assigned by a Project Engineer or Project Manager.
The Distribution EIT/Designer may work independently on small tasks and may assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects.
Tasks
Conduct analyses to develop design options
Perform modeling and/or calculations
Assist with preparing cost estimates or specifications
Perform routine engineering and design tasks
Participate in field reviews, surveying, and/or construction observation
Preferred Qualifications
Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain; candidates hired without EIT will be called a Distribution Designer
Experience working with electric utility type drawings and standards is highly recommended
Osmose O-Calc, and/or PLS-CADD design experience preferred
General surveying experience preferred
Local candidates are preferred
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
