The Design Sr. Manager is a compelling designer, facilitator, and storyteller who works through various mediums—digital prototyping tools, presentation design, immersive experience activations, video—to create high‑impact deliverables and lead engagement sessions that help business program owners define the end‑user experience for the S&T core priorities. The role demands a well‑researched understanding of S&T priorities, transforming that knowledge into engaging, user‑friendly, and easy‑to‑use experiences across S&T applications. The Design Sr. Manager conceptualizes, co‑creates, designs, and presents engaging experiences, collaborating with multi‑disciplinary teams (product, business, strategy, data & analytics) to deliver value. Passion for using design to solve problems and seasoned presentation skills are a must. Location

Purchase, NY Responsibilities

Helps the Product Owner define high‑level concepts & the customer value proposition. Inspires innovative design approaches. Leads client‑facing meetings and workshops, explaining the rationale for design decisions. Creates, defines, and demonstrates interactions for user flows for service or product tasks. Designs frameworks to organize information & help users understand how a product or service will work and behave over time. Collaborates with other design disciplines to integrate & address user needs while balancing business, brand, and technical goals. Visualizes solutions—models, wireframes, documentation, or prototypes—addressing the service design or solution objectives and the fine details of interaction elements, components, labels, & flows. Partners closely with front‑end developers. Conceptualizes and supports the design of a customer‑centered product, infusing user values and defining the experience across the entire ecosystem. Provides guidance on product design to make it useful, usable, effective, desirable, and differentiated for people and businesses. Balances creative and business goals, manages client expectations, and ensures delivery meets expectations. Maintains and evolves Digital Principles and style guides to create interactive, user‑centric products and ensures all channels live up to these visual standards. Compensation and Benefits

Expected compensation range: $118,700 – $198,800. Salary will be based on location, job‑related skills, experience, and education. Annual performance bonus, target payout 15% of annual salary. Qualifications

BA/BS in a related field required; MS/MFA preferred. 10+ years in user experience, design strategy, marketing activation design, interaction design, or visual/content design, with willingness to broaden skills while refining mastery of primary area. Ability to tackle diverse, complex design challenges and recognize patterns to develop creative, strategic, scalable solutions. Expertise in digital design software—Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, AfterEffects, Figma, etc. Proficiency in front‑end web development (HTML/JS/CSS) and rapid prototyping techniques. Expert in creating experience maps, user journeys, service blueprints, interaction models, flows, high‑fidelity wireframes, UI/visual design. Master facilitator with a proven record of running client engagements, demonstrating presentation polish, executive presence, and client orientation. Strong written and verbal communication—public speaking, storytelling, presentation building skills. Experience with design systems, components, and extensible assets. Proven history of delivering results on time, within budget, and with high execution quality. Creative optimist and self‑starter who brings energy and enthusiasm. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Desire to teach others through doing. EEO Statement
