The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for designing new products and components, with a primary focus on new product development. The role involves using SolidWorks to create designs in both 2D and 3D. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a new single-use probe, which includes machined plastic parts welded together, sheet metal enclosure pipe parts, and wire assembly components.
Responsibilities
Design new products and components using SolidWorks in both 2D and 3D.
Focus primarily on new product development.
Contribute to the design of a new single-use probe.
Work with machined plastic parts, sheet metal enclosure pipe parts, and wire assembly components.
Support sustaining work as needed.
Essential Skills
2+ years of experience with mechanical design.
2+ years of experience designing with SolidWorks.
2+ years of experience with 2D and 3D modeling.
Experience in new product development and design from scratch.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's degree in Mechanical Design.
Experience with design in medical device, biotech, pharma, or instrumentation is a plus.
Work Environment The Mechanical Designer will work onsite 100% of the time as part of a team with two other mechanical engineers. There is no remote flexibility and no opportunity for extension, as the role supports a backlog of work within the design team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain exposure to new product development and work within a regulated industry.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.06/hr.
